The Phillies good season dissolving in front of us

What is the key to the Phillies losing, Bryce isn't exactly setting the bases on fire

Like the rain in Washington DC, you wish it would just go away. Well, that's about what Phillies fans want from whatever happened to this Phillies team in which they just can't seem to get on track for winning baseball. Can we wish this bad play to just go away?

The Phils dropped another game against the Nats in a rain soaked affair last night in DC. The final was 7-4. What more can you say about a team that looked very promising at an earlier point in the season? There has been issues with the team such as injuries but for the most part, the team should have been able to work through that.

Jake Arrieta has been more outspoken this year, he should just quietly go about his work without the criticism of the offense

One thing that is constant now is that the Phillies are underperforming as a team. Harper and Hoskins are batting .243 and .264 each, so the notion that when they catch fire, the team will be better is always there. When will this happen though?

All of a sudden the Phils have fallen 4.5 games out of first place, at 39-35 as they race closer to .500 on the season. The Phils are losers of their last 4 games in a row, and are 2-8 in their last 10 games. The team is 16-21 on away games and only 22-20 when playing teams that are .500 or less.

The Phils now are home this weekend, they welcome in the Miami Marlins to town for a weekend series.
