Father's Appreciation Day at CBP - Cataldi should hang up the mic listen to him and Gabe Kapler

The home Phillies celebrate Father's Day today, even though the real thing is still a week away. When I saw this on the schedule, I really though the actual Father's Day was today as well, but alas only in the world of the home playing Phillies, as they will be on the road next week for the real holiday.

So what do you get if you go out to the ballpark today on Sunday, June 9th 2019? A Phillies vest for all Men fans 15 and over...

Always good to get something at the ballpark, I am sure they will have many happy Dads out there today at the ballpark.

The fanbase has been happy with the latest round of the Phillies winning games against the Reds, dare I say we are going for the sweep today? Hard to believe, but it's true.

Did you happen to hear the exchange between Philly radio host Angelo Cataldi and Phillies manager, Gabe Kapler? The interview started with a fiery Kapler commenting about his boss, Matt Klentak, then went on from there.

I finally heard some of it yesterday morning, the exchange took place on a weekly radio interview that Cataldi and the WIP morning show does with the Phillies manager. The exchange was ugly, Cataldi moaned on and on about blaming Jean Segura about not running to first and in Cataldi's mind causing the injury to Andrew McCutchen. Kapler responded but Angelo kept pounding him more about the issue even venturing into things such as who was closer to the 'fans' Angelo or Gabe. It was horrible. Angelo Cataldi is getting old, he's getting stuck on things, he should actually be off the air now, he's had his run (as he said, he's been talking for 29 years about Philly sports).

Cataldi's most recent interview this past week in which he jousted with Gabe Kapler verbally actually was commented on by a guy who knows something about crossing a line or two. Howard Eskin's morning Saturday show on WIP criticized Cataldi for the nonstop verbal bashing he gave to Kapler. I think the King (Howard's nickname) is correct in saying this.

I don't think I'll be tuning into WIP much anymore, certainly not for Cataldi and company, they are all long in the tooth and don't actually represent a Philadelphia fan base that deserves a bit better than what they offer.

Here's another previous exchange with these two:
