Game 2 for the Phillies wasn't as exciting as the first. The Phils couldn't get it going on the offense last night after nearly an hour delay because of rain to start Game 2 of the season. The Phils mustered only 4 hits the whole game as Jerad Eickhoff pitched 6.2 innings and only gave up 2 ER on the night.
Starter Brandon Finnegan pitched for the Reds going 7.0 innings and only gave up 1 hit with 9 K on the night. Joey Votto had a HR on the night for the Reds.
The official attendance was 19,944 but due to the conditions, there were many empty seats through out the ballpark last night.
It was Eickhoff's first start of the year, and the Phillies couldn't get him a run, last year he was bitten by a Phillies team that couldn't score much when he was on the mound either. Last year he went 11-14 in 33 starts with that kind of low run support. Eickhoff also sported the second highest WAR on the team last year with 3.4.
Here is what Eickhoff's run support looked like last year courtesy of Baseball-Reference.com

|3-5 Runs Scored||12||294||266||39||72||18||3||.308||111|
|0-2 Runs Scored||13||322||298||31||74||20||1||.281||97|
