What happened to Aaron Nola?

The Phillies are imploding again on pitching and hitting, but those coaches for each are still rock solid in their employment by the team?

The scouting reports must be very detailed and accurate on Aaron Nola now, as last night he gave up 7 H and 8 R in only 3.0 innings. The Twins took advantage of a few misplays, one an error by Freddie Galvis, and another ball that looked like it was able to be caught in center by Obudel Herrera.

On a nightly basis, that team is starting to show that some players aren't probably every day players.

To the Phillies offense, they didn't give up in this game. The offense rallied back behind home runs by Cameron Rupp and to take the lead 6-4 but then the Twins rallied back to take this game by a 10-6 score.

Kurt Suzuki drove in 6 RBI on the night, his most ever in a Major League game. He went 4-5 on the night as well. Maikel Franco went 2-4 for the Phils with 4 RBI on the night. He looks like he may be out of his recent slump. Peter Bourjus added 3 RBI for the Phils last night. Ryan Howard went 0-5 in the DH spot.

You have to look at Aaron Nola and his pitching which has been not what we've expected to see in the last couple of starts. Looking at the chart below, Nola gave up 8 R in his start at home on June 16th against the Blue Jays and last night, he gave up another 8 R against the Twins. Maybe he is not getting his pitches where he needs to pitch them, or a combination of that and some bad luck in that hitters are getting a lot of wood on the ball and getting on base and then scoring.
