Today Phillies ALS Charity, is great for charity and sort of fan fest in one

Here's Cliff Lee at a previous Phillies Phestival

Today at 4:30 it's the Phillies Phestival at the stadium. It's the time when the fans get together and come out to support a great charity and at the same time participate in a fan fest as fans can get autographs and say hello to their favorite players among other activities.

It's almost like a fan's fest which is something that the Phillies don't do at the stadium and call it a fan festival. There are items that you can bid on, and usually their are grab bags you can buy in which their are various Phillies signed items such as hats, baseballs, and other memorabilia.

On a previous Phillies Phestival you could go down into the dugout and get your picture taken with Charlie Manuel, or one year they had both championship trophies on display to get your photo taken along with it. So, every year their is a different offering that probably won't happen again. One year there were photos with the GM's, Ruben Amaro Jr. and Pat Gillick.

There are of course autograph booths with players and sometimes announcers. If you don't have an autograph ticket, they usually can accommodate you with a 'cash' autograph booth or two, so you're not feeling left out. Tickets are still available, so go to and come out support a great charity and have a lot of fun too.

It will go on rain or shine, and this year, the Phillies players don't have to rush off to catch a plane as they have had to do in years past, they remain home playing the Reds starting Tuesday night.
