Phils in Cinncy tonight, MLB Draft at #10 tonight

The Reds know something about losing, they haven't made the playoffs very often: since winning the World Series in 1990, the Reds have been a Wild Card or made the playoffs just 4 times

The Phillies have taken their act on the road. Cincinnati is the place that the All-Star Game will be held at this year, and chances are just one representative will be there from this Phillies team that hasn't had a whole lot to be excited about this year.

Tonight though, the whole Phillies team will be at Great American Ballpark to play the Reds in what is the only trip the Phillies make to Cincinnati this year. Due to the advent of interleague play, the Phils end up playing their own NL foes a lot less than they used to many years ago.

This season is a bust for the Phillies, they seem to be winning just enough to keep the boo birds from drowning the team out at CBP lately, but this is an embarrassment to the kind of baseball that Philadelphia fans were used to seeing for a couple seasons when everyone wanted to play here.

The Phillies will make the tenth pick in the MLB first year player draft tonight. They've been picking pitching for the past couple of years, but no fruit from those picks have been picked yet for the big league club. Also, we have to keep in mind that these picks are a couple of years away from being on a major league field so the immediate results won't be here for this current Phillies team.

With that in mind, let's see who the Phillies pick this year. They need someone who can hit the baseball in the clutch.
