Amaro still says 'we'll see' as Phillies lose even more

Rollins scores a run in the first inning last night as the Phillies lost 5-4 in 11 innings

Don't tell Ruben Amaro. Phillies GM, that the Phillies are one of the worst teams in baseball this year. He apparently doesn't know that fact. The Phillies are solidly in last place in the NL East and have one of the lowest winning percentages in all of baseball as half of the season is over.

When asked what he plans to do about it, Amaro seems to think the Phillies have some sort of chance to turn this all around. Of course they do, but it would be miraculous to go from worst to first and that kind of stuff just doesn't happen all that often.

Even the Phillies TV broadcasters last night were saying that, 'well the Phillies are still only 10 games out.' Yes, but their play on the field is at times awful, they can't execute even simple tasks as laying down a bunt most of the time and several players on this team are having a struggle out there on the field on a nightly basis.

As of this morning, the Chicago Cubs even have a slighly higher winning percentage as the Phillies.
