Series shifts to Toronto as Phillies near 20,000th game

Cliff Lee from his last start wants to know why Denard Span isn't ready in the box on his last start vs. the Nationals, Lee pitches tonight for the Phillies in Toronto

The Phils rallied to score 5 runs last night, but in extra innings, dropped their second straight game to the Toronto Blue Jays by a 6-5 score at home in Philly. Cole Hamels pitched 6.0 innings and gave up 5 R to bring his ERA to 7.02, as he surrendered 2 HR on the night.

For Cole Hamels, he is still sitting in career win 99 and looking to win his 100th game for his career as a Phillie.

The Phillies played their franchise game 19,998 last night, they move to Toronto to finish up the 2-game home and home series with the Blue Jays.

The series shifts to the Rogers Centre, where the Blue Jays are 5-7 there, the Phillies have a similar bad home record when playing at Citizens Bank Park, the Phils home record is now 6-9 in front of the hometown crowd.
