Phils fail in sweep, bullpen can't hold 4-1 lead in 9th

Antonio Bastardo didn't close the door on the Mets yesterday, and the game ended in the loss column by the bullpen

Tack another loss up to the bullpen yesterday as the Phillies looked like they were going to sweep the Mets with a 4-1 lead into the 9th inning. That's not what the Mets batters were thinking though. All this on Mother's Day.

Cole Hamels went 7 innings and had 10 strikeouts on the day, and this just looks like how the Phillies season is going this year. When the starting pitcher does great, the bullpen can't hold the lead.

For the Mets, they continue to stay in New York to play the always popular Subway Series with the Yankees, and the Phillies have an off-day today wne then Mike Trout mania hits CBP for two games on Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.
