Phillies phalter on Phriday

Jayson Werth speaks with Ryan Howard before the game last night in Philadelphia, memories of when these two earned a World Series championship in 2008 in Philly

The Phils had a special that hasn't been seen in a while around Citizens Bank Park, it's doubtful that this special really ever has been done at CPB at all, a 'buy one' and 'get one' ticket to a Phillies game against the Nationals last night. It was buy any ticket that was $38 or less and you got a free one. That's what has happened with an evaporating fan base in the early part of 2014 so far.

Cliff Lee was again in good form, but couldn't earn the win, as a combination of the bullpen and a missed catch in right field spelled a loss for the Phils on Friday night against Jayson Werth and the Nationals.

Jayson Werth was a beloved Phillies player for many years, but when he packed up and left for Washington, some unkind remarks more than a few times has made him into an arch enemy of the Phillies now. Werth finished up last night 3-4 with a BB for the Nationals who cruised to a 5-3 victory.

What has made Werth such a player that now Phillies fans don't like? Well, how about the fact that he is a clutch player, look at this chart that appeared in the Washington Post when they talked about Werth being the most clutch player of April, Hunter Pence is on this list also. Mr. Amaro do you care about clutch players?
