The Phillies haven't gotten off to a start like the Atlanta Braves did so far this year (6-1). A lot of fans have started to panic, but it's so early in the season still and certainly not time for any talk like I've heard recently on the local Philly sports talk radio. Just this morning, Angelo Cataldi was calling for Charlie Manuel to be fired, he called for his 'successor' to be named manager of the Phillies, that of course looks like it would be Ryne Sandberg.
That kind of reaction sounds like it would be an easy fix to a problem that the Phillies have at the moment and that is a rough start to the 2013 season. Look back at the championship season though and you'll see the Phillies have had a worse start to that year, and look what happened. The 2008 Phillies went 2-8 in the first 10 games, and the Phils still managed to win a World Championship.
Granted, you don't want to see the Phils play that often as they have been playing, and hopefully the Phillies will take a liking to the warmer weather we're having in the area, especially tonight, and get those bats moving against the Mets.
1980 - first 10 games Phillies record: 5-5

Here's what the Phillies have been doing so far on offense:
