Doc looks to enter 200 win club with start tonight

Roy Halladay has been a workhorse for his entire career. He's been pitching in the majors for 15 years, and he is entering his 16th season with his wins record currently at 199 for his career. Just one more win, and he enters the 200 wins club and for pitchers, that is somewhat rare company.

Here's the list of every major league pitcher who has 200 wins or more as of April 3, 2013:

So you can see, that Doc is in very good company as this season starts off.

Some concerned fans and press alike have been wondering, is Doc Halladay finished? If he isn't suffering from an injury that hasn't been disclosed, then most assuredly he is not done. Pitchers like Jamie Moyer have reinvented themselves time after time ( he's on the list with 269 career wins), with other pitches, but once a pitcher is no longer the same as he has always been, he must adjust and the adjustment has to be a good one.

As you can see by the list here sorted by the most wins, Steve Carlton is number 7 on the career wins list with 329, and another ex-Phillies pitcher is at number 62 with 216 wins, Curt Schilling.

We'll get a chance to see Halladay tonight for the Phillies in Atlanta at 7:10 PM, it's Game #2 on the 2013 season.
