Dom. Republic pounds Phils

All in all, on a day like today in the Philly area with an impending snow/rain storm on the way, I'd rather be here on a beach somewhere.

This is the Dominican Republic, and yesterday the national team from that country handed the Phillies an embarrassing loss by the score of 15-2 and put the Phillies in a state of shock.

Cole Hamels was roughed up for 8 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings against the Dominicans in the lopsided game.

Some of these players on the Dominican team are household names, Jose Reyes, Hanley Ramirez, and Robinson Cano from the Yankees. They all make up this powerhouse team which has a great chance to win the WBC but this team put the Phils on notice it is taking no prisoners.

Washington Nationals at the Phillies in Clearwater this afternoon at 1PM.
