Halladay: I want to retire as a Phillie

Roy Halladay doesn't say too much to the media, but what he said today made a lot of people take notice. Halladay wants to stay with the Phillies for the rest of his career.

It kind of makes you feel proud as a fan of the Phillies team and of Philadelphia doesn't it? Many years ago, there were players who didn't want to come here and we all remember their names. Now, it's looking a little different as Halladay and other players have made it known that they like Philadelphia.

Let's look at Cliff Lee for example. He could have signed elsewhere, but chose to make Philadelphia the place that he wanted to play for. Another guy that makes you feel good about your team. Both of these players could have gotten more money but didn't choose to do that.

This is one of the great stories that are already coming out of Spring Training 2013 for the Phillies.
