A preview of tonight's match up with the Phils and the Cubs is a bit eye opening. When comparing both offenses, we find that both clubs are almost in a statistical dead-heat. The Phillies have the advantage with two more wins than the Cubs and two less losses, but otherwise the stats are almost equal. The Cubs are hovering near the bottom of the MLB in offense at 24th in overall runs scored and 23rd in team batting average. The Phillies are 27th overall in runs scored but have improved their team batting average to 14th at .253
It's Joe Blanton (1-3 4.39 ERA) for the Phillies tonight, it's going to be a chilly Philly tonight at the ballpark, along with an 80 percent chance of rain.
