Wiggy to be regular starting first baseman

Mayberry Jr.

Mayberry Jr. getting a chance to claim left field this year

Ty Wigginton can do a lot to raise his own value in the first couple months of the Phillies season. MLB reports that Wiggy will be getting a lot of the duties at first base in the absence of Ryan Howard.

Jim Thome is getting himself ready to play occasional first base, and pinch hit off the bench for the team.

In left, it will be a Mayberry Jr. and Laynce Nix swap out to see who fills the role better.

My buddy Jay over at followed some of the Phillies prospects, who are in town to workout at the Citizen’s Bank Park complex. A few of the guys took in the Sixers game. Read about that here.
