The Phillies accomplished win #70 on the season last night at Coors Field. Ryan Howard hit a couple home runs on the evening, and the Phillies breezed to a 5-0 victory. Howard now has 23 HR and 83 RBI on the year. The Phils are now 31 games over .500 at 70-39 on the season.

Kyle Kendrick last start for a while?

It may have been Kyle Kendrick’s last start as a Phillies pitcher for a while, as Roy Oswalt is scheduled to come back to the rotation in San Francisco over the weekend. Kendrick did a great job filling in, he notched 7 strikeouts and 8 shutout innings. Kendrick’s record is now 6-5 on the year.

Postseason invoices are emailed to season ticket holders

The Phillies have Postseason ticket invoices emailed out to season ticket holders and the games are slightly more expensive than last year. Full season ticket holders get the opportunity to purchase all of the playoff games for each seat they have all year long, and partial season ticket holders, depending on your tenure, are eligible for either 2 or 3 games in the postseason and may include the World Series. Partial season ticket holders do not sit in their regular seats for the playoffs, the seat locations are filled by randomly generated locations.

I’ll have more info on the Postseason tickets in future posts.

Afternoon baseball today from Denver

It’s afternoon baseball today as the Phils and the Rockies wrap this series up at 3:10 PM ET from Denver. It’s Roy Halladay (13-4) vs Jason Hammel (6-10). The Phils then move on to San Francisco for 4 games.
