Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly breaks down the series with the Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals got some bad news yesterday as Albert Pujols fractured a bone in his left forearm that will have him out for up to 6 weeks. The play didn’t look all that bad that Pujols injured his arm on, it’s just one of those freaky things that happen in baseball.
The Phillies road trip stops in St. Louis for three games with Roy Halladay on the mound tonight. Roy is looking for his 10th win of the season. These games against teams like the Cardinals may be what we’re seeing in the playoffs this year, should the Phillies make it of course.
Phillies aces are feared by other teams
In a Cardinals blog called C70 – there is a poll that is running that let’s readers express how well the Cardinals will do against the Phillies aces that will face them in the series. Tonight is Halladay, Wednesday is Cliff Lee, and Thursday is Roy Oswalt. The Cardinals have a couple of their better pitchers going in this series as well, with Lohse on Wednesday, and Chris Carpenter on Thursday.
