Werth’s return to Philly is Nationals loss

The well documented return to Philly by Jayson Werth is now history. The first game of the Nats and Phillies is in the books, and it’s a Phillies victory. I know you have to follow the money sometimes in your career, but as I said in yesterday’s post on FightinPhillies.com, you can’t put a price on going to the playoffs or further into the post season.

Here’s some of the photos from the return of Werth. Thanks to PHL17 and Tony Romeo for the use of the photos.

The Phillies and the Nats are at it again tonight at CBP, it’s Vance Worley (1-0) getting his second start with the leave of absence by Roy Oswalt. Worley will look for his second win on the season tonight.

The Phillies are 10-5 at home, and 9-4 away, so far on the season. The Nationals will have Jason Marquis on the mound, he has started off very well at 3-0 for the Nationals with a 2.62 ERA.

The forecast is for showers in the Philly area, hopefully it will clear up for game time.
