Lights, Camera, Action! It's Los Angeles in for three

The Dodgers probably won't have their celebrities in attendance tonight in Philly!

The LA Dodgers haven't been to CBP yet this year, and the Phillies haven't made it out to Dodgerland yet. Better late than never, the two teams will lock up tonight as the Phillies old ace Vicente Padilla (that seems like a long time ago since he was our ace) faces off  against the Phillies and Kyle Kendrick. Kendrick will look to further improve upon his year. Kendrick is 7-4 so far for the Phillies and Padilla brings his 5-3 mark to the game.

The Dodgers have improved their team with some great trade deadline pickups in Lilly, Theriot, and Posednik. Since the All Star Break, the Dodgers have been struggling to be a .500 team though. The Dodgers lost 4 straight to the Cardinals just after the All Star break, but recently took 3 out of 4 from the Mets in New York. The Dodgers travel to Philly from LA after taking 2 out of 3 from the Nationals over last weekend.

  1. I think JC should pitch more, especially to righties and pitchers.

  2. Let's not get carried away here. Scott Podsednik and Ryan Theriot are not GREAT pickups. They aren't even really good pickups. They are both below average offensive players. Podsednik has a career .723 OPS. Theriot has a career .711 OPS.

To compare, Ben Francisco is on the Phillies bench, and he has a career .772 OPS. Pods and Theriot are going to be counted on as starters. Let's not say things that aren't true (that these are GREAT pick ups), please.
